Default Making my white base C6 look like a Z06X

I recently purchased my first corvette, a white 2013 C6 3LT, to replace my aging 2007 Porsche Cayman. While I'm already in love with the white (I think most cars look good either white or red), I recently saw what was done with the Z06X trim and resolved to eventually do something similar with my own car. I'm not talking about the performance mods, just everything aesthetic apart from the wing and the Z06X logo.

And below is the Z06X:

Can anyone point me in the right direction? The cheapest solution to each "part" of this project is appreciated.

cheapest solution will be to sell that car and buy what you want...

What he is saying is it would be cheaper to buy a Z06X already built than to convert yours.

That still makes no sense from a financial or practical perspective. I'd probably be selling the car at a loss already (or waiting a really long time), and finding a C6 in this particular Z06X aesthetic configuration is next to impossible, and I already said I'm willing to cut corners. The Z06X uses carbon fibre parts, while I would be fine with side mirrors painted black, for example.

OP, you do realize that the Z06X is a widebody car and yours is the standard body, right? I think what the folks are trying to tell you is that converting a base car to a widebody car is not an inexpensive proposition, and many times it's more cost effective to start with a widebody car.
If all you want to do is add the aero parts and some black contrasting paint to your car, that's a different story, and comparatively inexpensive.

i'll help you out with the headlights! the z06x headlights look black and yours are white. Contact Bobby at choppys headlights. he does custom work and carbon fiber as well. he did a lens replacement on mine and change the color from red to black. 100% recommend him and has good prices.

I see now. I wasn't looking for a widebody conversion, no. I was focused primarily on the color scheme and side skirts.

I had some parts painted gloss black, and tinted the exterior lights ....headlights have black buckets.

Listen, you're new. They're not. They're trying to tell you that it would be cheaper to trade your car on a z06 ot grand sport than try to convert yours.

Quick breakdown (cheapest way possible)

New fenders and front bu.per, painted probably 3 grand. That wont ger you a new hood but can be skipped.

wheels and tires - 2 grand for crap tires. You could use some shitty spacers for a couple hundred

Brakes are 2 grand. You could probably skip this but its look stupid.

I dont know what you paid for your car but it's very likely you could get I to a z ot gs for less than 6k nore. And then throng term value is higher too, because a base modded roook likesomething it isnt loses a TO of value. Probably almostwhat you spent on itesstha ic youd left it aline.

Full wide body conversions can run about $20K if done right and by a professional shop. When you list all body parts, fitment, prep and paint, big brakes and wheels with tires it is way more cost efficient to go buy a GS or Z-06 rather than convert your car.

My base converted not to Z06 but to wide body. I understand your not trying to break the bank but what the guys are trying to tell you is to do it right you almost have too. I cant give an exact amount of what it cost to do mine because it was done in stages, but I can say it was a lot $

I’m biased for white corvettes too. So based on your post#9, no wide body so you’re looking for black headlights, tinted side markers and tail lights. You said you don’t want the wing. You need the side skirts. You already have black wheels.

Black headlights could cost you $600 to over a $1000. Or you could send yours out to get painted.

Do you want the back end all black? Go with a a vinyl wrap for a couple hundred dollars. Paint or wrap the mirrors.

I think you might be disappointed in trying to achieve that look you picture while maintaining a narrow body car.

It will not have "the look" you pictured as a narrow body.

Body wrap the rear, mirrors, hood center tint the lights, toss the spliter and side skirt on and call it done. Forget the zo6x decal and wing they look crummy to me.

Except that car is not a production vehicle, so he cannot buy it. He needs the wide body kit, side skirts, front splitter, rear wing, and a few other parts to complete the package.

I think the rear wide body parts, side skirts, wing and splitter will give him a look much like the one he wants.
