LS2 with minor mods. Worth a tune?
I have an 06, 6 spd with a Vararam and a Corsa. I don't plan on any other engine mods. Is it worth investing in a tune??
Thanks.
Thanks.

It helps dial the system in much better. GM has a general tune applied to each car that is designed to work optimally in all settings as well as accommodate slight variations during production. So whether the car is in 110° heat in Arizona or 10° in Michigan. Having a specialized tune performed calibrates it for your specific car. I have an 06 as well. I ended up installing a K&N intake, full Z06 exhaust, and a 180 t-stat. Afterwards I had the system tuned. It won't be a night and day difference, but you will notice things are sharper and overall feel better. My throttle response improved nicely. If that's all you're going to do then I say go for it. Plus most tuners offer lower cost re-tunes if you change your mind in the future.
