Default Billy Boat PRT

Anyone using Billy Boat PRT with Manual Transmission. It was designed specifically for Automatic Trans. Review of sound, loudness and drone would be appreciated. Considering installing on 2010 Base Model manual shift.
Thanks

I had that exhaust on my 2008 Base Model automatic but just went back to the stock exhaust today. What I liked best was sound upon start up and idle and the 4 inch round tips. What I didn't like was the noise at any acceleration. The noise at cruising speed around town or on the freeway was OK, but I just got tired of it. Before I installed it, I sound deadened the cargo area, doors and behind the seats. The bottom line "in my opinion", Corvettes are just not acoustically designed for good sounding exhausts. Also, you don't gain any noticeable horsepower from an axle back exhaust. I gotta tell you, I love how quiet the stock exhaust is, but I am going to change the tips to a larger quad 4 inch round like the B&B. That would be the best of both worlds. To each his own.

Default BBE prt

I had a 2012 gs convertable 6 speed manual with npp exhaust which I ran open all the time.i now have a 2013 gs convertable 6 speed manual with the billy boat round top prt axle backs. They are a little louder than the open npp s with a little pop on decel.i love the deep sound when on the throttle, has a nice burble at idle and no drone.i can’t tell you if they will sound different in a coupe .i believe the convertable is quieter due to the bulkhead behind the seats .if you like a deep sound you will like the prt s. Do you find it louder than your previous NPP on the highway?

I have PRT on my built C5Z (manual of course)
I like the sound - and I'm picky. Reasonably quiet at idle and cruise, LOUD on throttle. Even at wot, it removes a lot of the harsh 'bark' and keeps the rumble/roar. Do like.

Default Prt

yes. A little louder than open npp .at crusing rpm. When at full throttle is when you can tell the difference.

I like it. Find myself getting on the throttle going under overpasses. I think its fine at highway speed in 5th or 6th gear 65 mph sound is quiet enough. When your in the mood for louder I downshift.

I have the BB PRT exhaust on my 08 M6. It has a great tone with no drone at cruising speeds. They’re not the quietest pipes on the planet, but overall I like them. When I do long tubes and x pipe I’ll probably add additional resonators to the x pipe. Overall the sound is aggressive, but not obnoxious. I’d recommend them. Plus, the four inch tips look outstanding!!

Had the PRT's on my 02 Z. Loved them. My wife said it made my car sound like a Corvette should.
