My favorite tires for the base model Corvettes is the Firestone Wide Oval RFT's. They last a long time, handle great and have decent traction. A great overall tire.

nice. also when u replace the tires, the current rotors, pads, etc can be transferred to the new tires right?

I recommend the Firestone too. Put them on a '95 Camaro Z28 for years and they are all I ever had on my '05 C6.

Rotors, pads, etc. are not replaced when changing tires. They stay on the car. Only the wheels are removed and the tires changed. Then put back on the car.

Changing the tires mounted to the wheels have nothing to do with the brakes, unless they need replacing!

I have a set of stock spec non-run flat Yokohamas on my 08 and couldn't be happier.

While you're changing tires, you can have them look at the brake pads/rotors and calipers also. They can be transferred to your new tires if in good condition. If something needs to be replaced, they'll let you know.

Its actually easier to transfer the body to the new tires. There are less nuts and bolts to replace.

I'm on my 2nd set a lot better than those French tires.

Sumitomo HTR ZIII are the best bang for the buck tire available if you arent looking to spend too much money on tires yet still want something that will perform. These tires have great grip and ride great. A full set for a base C6 will cost you under $700.

My C6 is a daily driver and. It a garage queen. It gets driven spiritedly but will never see the track. I shopped Discount Tire for one of the least expensive tires that had good test results. Ended up with a set of ‘no-name’ tires that have been great. They give me all of the traction I need when I go out in the country and drive the twist things they give me all the traction I need when I go out in the country and drive the twisties. They aren’t a sexy name brand but they have served me very well and look to have many thousand miles on them. This isn’t the most popular choice among forum members but for me they work great
