I have unknown Z06 replica wheels in chrome on car. Came with car. I just replaced one and went to discount tire, they had it in 3 days. So far I’m really happy with looks and how easy it is to clean. As much as I’m a track guy the detailing aspect and looks have really sold me on chrome for look I wanted. I think overall the replica wheels seem to be reliable for most use.

Just a thought.....these are not repros.... I got TSW wheels. Love them. Got wheels and Michelin tires, mounted and balanced, via Discount Tire Direct (ordered on internet).

Black chrome can be very good (I've had them). I'd look into DocZ, a forum vendor for aftermarket wheels. Believe he's in FLA.

I put gloss Black '16 C7 Z06 repros on my C6Z51 AX car w/Stones and the weigh was within 1 lb. Got them 19/18's base C6 size and they looked /worked great from Forum Vendor to my door for low eight hundred $.

I like the look of those wheels. Do you know whether Corvette center caps would work with them?

Not black chrome or chrome but I'm happy with my gloss black C7 Z51 replicas I bought at West Coast Corvettes. They look much better on my 05 with the Z 51 option than the oem chrome wheels. Available in chrome also. I've never been a fan of chrome even though I'm supposed to because I'm old.

One of the things about reproduction wheels, they are "typically" heavier than the OE wheels.

Reproduction wheels are also not typically tested to the same standards as OE wheels and may not be as strong.

That being said, I have reproduction GS wheels on mine.

My only thought and experiences with reproduction rims is get a agreed trade in contract if the rims in question have finish flaws or are hard to balance.

I have experienced with both in the past with different vehicles.

Cheaper the rim more likely poorer quality.

Haven't looked into this lately bit I used to think that $1000 per rim was needed to get a well made wheel nowadays.

The set on my car is the second set I ordered. The first, which I ordered from West Coast Corvette, had huge blemishes on the barrels of every wheel. I promptly returned those after being told that they don't count blemishes on the barrel as defects. I then ordered the same wheels from Corvette World here in Dallas, and the ones they got were perfect in every respect. I paid about $1k for the set from them.

I've had reproduction wheels on several Corvettes, 3 to be exact, and never had a problem.

Yes I do, but the OP asked about C7 wheels, of which the GS used these as well.

Looks great! Are your wheels made by Factory Reproductions? Which vendor did you use?
