Default Exhaust Enhancer Plate

Hello.
I was wondering if it is easy to put on a exhaust enhancer plate?
I found one I like I just am not going to buy it if it is difficult to put on.
I am a female trying to add to my car.

It is the one that sits between the exhaust with just the C-6 logo on it.

Those are pretty simple to install. I believe that most attach to the exhaust hangers. Just loosen the bolts enough to slide in the plate attachment and re tighten.

most come with a slotted attachment on them, one slot goes to the side, the other is vertical
You loosen the hanger bolts enough to slide it in sideways the up on the other side, then tighten the hanger bolts. Very simple process.

It is a fairly simple install but there is not a lot of room to work. Takes a little patience

Do you have the stock exhaust? I ordered one off of Ebay to find it would not fit with the wider Corsa tailpipes on my car.

If this is the one you're talking about, it is very simple to install. Had it on mine for a few years; I now have a filler plate....

Just received my exhaust plate from Dennis Josts. Quality product and easy install. Highly recommend.

I think it is great you wish to begin some mechanics.
Very easy install.
This is from memory.
Again really easy.

Typically these plates are slotted and slide under the bolts.
1) Lift car...only a foot needed, there is plenty of room, so you can slide under the car on your back. Don't forget to use a safety/ jack stand...that is good practice to follow.
2) Look for the two retainer bolts between the mufflers on the bumper reinforcement.
3) Regular socket, extension, ratchet or a open/ box end wrench. I believe it is 1/2 size.
4) Loosen the bolts, or remove the bolts, slide into the plate, add some blue Loctite to the bolt threads (optional), tighten the bolts to 18 foot pounds.
5) Lower the car, smile and take a picture of you new plate.
Welcome to the DIY mechanic club.

If you're on the slim side you probably won't need to raise the car, I can get at it without lifting just by parking the car with the rear wheels at the end of my garage floor by the door and the rear of the car overhanging the sloping driveway. Just make sure the car is in gear (or Park) and set the hand brake. Never hurts to chock a wheel if you're under the car also.
