What's up with yellow cars?

Ive had two velocity yellow Corvettes, the first was a 2009 base A6 4LT convertible, that was totaled in an accident. Salvage was purchased in Ohio and its back on the road upthere....my replacement was a 2011 GS M6 4LT convertible with 7,654 miles. Its got 19000 on it now. I like the color, it stands out among all the black and red Corvettes you see. I do like some of the newer blue colors and the atomic orange also.

Here comes all the preferences slamming other colors. I don't mind yellow on a Corvette but on a sedan/SUV no way. I personally love silver especially on sedans/SUVs. With the C6 I just love the 60th Anniversary package which includes the blue diamond/suede interior. Having a stripe down middle sticks out also so i can't really say yellow gathers the most attention.

If I wanted to drive a school bus I would have bought a school bus.
I like the Sunfire Yellow color on a midyear. The brighter yellows they use now do nothing for me.
That doesn’t mean it’s bad, just not my preference.
Almost forgot. Don’t like black wheels on yellow cars either.

I purchased mine because that's how I met my wife. She was walking out of the club with a yellow dress on. I said to her I like yellow she said thank you. 28 years of marriage 2016 I see the 2008 yellow Vette with 3000, miles so I bought it.

They sold more white in 2017 than any other color.
I couldn't own a yellow Vette in Pa. Looks too much like a Steeler car. I root for the Steeler's, but don't want to be reminded of them every time I go to the garage.

It’s a very polarizing color. Also, for many, resale is a concern (for unknown reasons, it’s a damn toy vehicle) as yellow vehicles tend to be harder to sell— unless someone who appreciates ONLY the finest of goods is on the hunt for a yellow Corvette.
