Clear bra
I am thinking about putting a clear bra on my 09. It had a removable bra on it when I bought it and it is banged up.
Does anyone know of a installer in the Nashville area?
Thanks for the reply's. I just picked my car up in Alabama and it looks like the Bra had been on it some time and was not installed properly. It messed up the paint in some places so I used 3M Perfect IT and they came out pretty good. This car will be mostly a garage Queen as I have no trips in mind so a BRA may not be needed. I scanned for one on the net and it looks like the clear ones are close to $200. My best bet may to to fix this one or get another if a trip is forthcoming?

I had one on a Nissan Murano and turned out to be the biggest mistake I made. I saw little cracks starting to develop in it and when I asked about it the clear film had started to crack. I am in Florida which kills everything but this turns out you can't peal it off once it starts, you have to sand it off with the paint. I asked 3M about the lifetime warranty it had but they said it only applies if you replace the bra every 5 years and have proof you did this. Doesn't sound like lifetime to me. I know the regular bras will wear the paint off your car also but if you have to sand and repaint the front to get this off what's the difference? Anyway check on all this before you have it stuck on your car and also how frequently it has to be pulled off and replaced just to CYA.

Clear bra
I live in Jacksonville,FL and I have had one on two Corvettes and two Buicks. They all worked great and saved the cars from road rash. They were all premium shield. It peels off easy. It is much better than a bra and looks better.

I have the 3M on mine now the past 2 years and still looks and protects well. I don't know where the OP got a price of $200. I paid $900 for mine and the XPEL goes for a few bucks more. It's worth every penny though.

Most guys in my car club get the bumper wrapped by a professional, looks great and last a long time, but its not cheap. One guy had his new z06 wrapped bumper to back of the doors $3000

Had one on my Z when I bought it. 4 years later it had seen better days with lots of chips in it from rocks. Peeled it off one night in about 2 hours. Not too bad at all. Paint underneath was perfect, not a mark on it anywhere. Car had 55,000 miles on it. I called a Lexus dealer a few miles away. They gave me the name of a guy who put these on. Called him and he told me $1000 just to do the front bumper. OUCH!!!

I think 3M still has a website with list of installers.
Had mine done professionally over 10 years ago and still looks new. Hit a plastic barrel at 50mph...not a scratch, so really works well.
Mine is on a yellow car, so can't tell if the film has yellowed as others have experienced.

I have a Suntek clear bra installed from the windshield forward, the mirror pockets, and door handle cups on my 08. I had a precut kit installed about 4 years ago and other than a couple of spots that would have been rock chips (in the paint) that left marks in the bra it is still going strong. As I recall it was about $1400-1500 and took about 2 days for the install.

Also had one of these and sold it here on the forum.
Hmmm, also have those wheels and that hood, but they are still on the car.

I originally got 3M film installed in my Red in September 2006. Back then the 3M film was not very good and didn't last long. When the 3M lost its gloss and looked crappy, I had it steamed off and replaced with XPel. You should be able to get all forward facing surfaces -- bumpers, half hood, mirror fronts -- and the wheel well rears covered for about $1,500. If your headlight lenses are still new looking, get them done too.
