Jacking up front of my 06
can anyone send or find a clear picture of where the jacking points are? The rudimentary sketch in the owner's manual does not help that much.

The front puck location is on the frame rail where the bottom of the front fender meets the front door/rocker panel seem. take your hand and run it along the bottom of the frame rail in the afore mentioned location and you will feel the puck placement slot. The rear puck location is about two feet in front of the rear fender opening on the frame rail.

Here is a diagram of the jacking points. I use a Cross Beam Adapter on my floor jack to lift the front frame contact locations (green), then put jack stands on the front frame contact locations (blue).
I then lift the rear using the Cross beam adapter on the rear prefered locatons (Red), then place jack stands on the rear frame contact locations (blue).

You can use a piece of wood, it protects the metal from getting gouged up by the jack if it doesnt have a good pad on it. I just jack up one side, then either put another jack under the front or the back and then jack up the car and place my stands. Or you can get ramps that allow you to jack it up without having to raise one side.

I just use a 2x10 placed on top of my jack and put it in the same place as the jack in EVRose's post. It jacks up the complete back end of the car so I can put the arms out on my lift to get to the jacking pucks (hockey pucks), then lift the whole car. The 2x10 does not scratch or indent the metal or put any scratches on it. Its probably about 3 feet long and fits perfectly under the rear end of the car.

As professional appearing as the "cross-frame adapter" looks, I can't help but wonder how you get the adapter in the proper location with both wheels (front or rear) still on the ground? I know how I do it but there may be a better way. OBD
