You don't have to put any on. Take the ticket and spare your beautiful front end. Here in NY. it's a $60 non moving ticket. I have been running no front plate on any of my sports cars for years and never got stopped once for it. But if I did I would pay with a smile.

Texas is a $200 ticket for no front plate. I've had my Vette for about 10 months as a DD and haven't received a ticket, yet. I have an Aero-plate that I haven't got around to installing. Will probably do that next weekend.

Im in Texas too and most cops other than the bumper chasers aka State Police will turn a blind eye to no from plate on Vettes unless being stopped for a moving infraction. It would be really cool if someone designed a solid rubber non marring front plate mount like many of us use on the newer Vipers. About $60.00 and it just snaps on the front fascia and taken off in seconds without harming the paint at all. They are also good for super high speeds without coming off.

I haven't run a front plate on my "fun" cars since 2013 and I've never had an issue even when I've been pulled over for speeding, but just remember not running one is probable cause to get pulled over.

In Nebraska you can pay an extra $100.00 to be legal and not have to run a front plate instead the money gets you a small sticker to put on your windshield (was my choice) first time I have been legal driving a Vette. I have owned 4 Vettes and 1 Escalade with no front plate over the years and never ticketed for no front plate.
Or in Nebraska (another option) you can license the vehicle as one that you do not use as a daily driver (Extra cost of $50.00) and purchase a vanity plate, by doing that you do not have to run a front plate.
This is the only good thing automobile wise about living in Nebraska.

Burning Brakes
Mine is installed in the little compartment in the trunk!
Never had one on the front of the Vettes. My boss drove a company car in Texas for 40 years with no front plate. Look around, there are a lot in Texas with no fronts...

No front plate on my Z, my 05 (traded), 01 (sold), 90 (sold). Thats at least 15 years. Never been stopped for it. The law (Texas) has been in effect for years, but until a couple of years ago, it had no fine attached to it. I think the 2014 Legislature finally added a fine to go with it, but most LEO don't mess with it unless you are stopped for something else. I say "most" LEO, not all.

I had a Top Flight on my 07. I have one from Thedoubleaa.com on my Centennial and like it better. It is not as fast to remove but I don't take it off, so speed of removal is not a big concern for me.
