Default 427 convertible "cruise in"

If your a lucky owner cruise by here and tell your story. It's dedicated to especially you. I , We, all love vettes all the years and all the models, but
Artic white, stripes and blue top is my dream car. When they came out for 2013, it was way out of my $ range so I had to wait,,, until now. 80 year old Couple had it for sale and it had only 1000 miles on it! By all means chime in!! Everyone is welcome as well!! #0424

I see you changed cars. Beautiful car. Edit, forgot you said it's the 427 60th...Enjoy
I'm a Baser not GS but they do let us converse once in awhile. There is some segregation, Baser's home is in the basement, but we hold our own. Like your car Was down your way about a month ago. Go by Gresham on the way to 205. Then stopped in Wilsonville, Seaven Feathers Casino on the way down to Crescent City and Klamath. Some nice curves from Grants Pass to Crescent City.

We came this close to buying a 60th Anniversary Grand Sport convertible in 2013. The dealer was really proud of theirs and wouldn't give me what I wanted for our trade, so we went home disappointed. Second choice was Cyber Gray, so two weeks later we bought this 2010.

I do think the white / blue / blue 60th is one of the most beautiful special editions GM has ever produced.

DSCN3025

In the spring of 2013 I started looking for any new 427 verts still out there. Contacted the allegedly largest Vette dealer in Ohio because he had one on his lot in the color I wanted. Went down to look at it, was sitting outside, not clean, water-spotted, rotors very rusty, and kind of an oddball with a few option overrides on the sticker. No one available to really talk to me about it when there.

Emailed the sales guy and told him that car on his lot was not making me say wow, and could he locate one for me to my specs? He said he could and would be back in touch. Two weeks went by and nothing heard. Started scanning some dealer websites and found another one in Ohio that matched my spec exactly at Bud's in St. Marys. Went to look at the car (was inside, clean with 3 miles on the odo). Closed the deal right there with a discount.

Emailed the sales guy at the first dealership, told him I found a car and had closed the deal, thanked him and maybe next time. I got a single word reply - "ok". Since then I've bought a new C7 at Bud's as well.

The 427 has been a great car for me and has been trouble-free. Will be hopefully holding on to it for quite a while.

Ok,
I'll jump in. I don't post much anymore.
First of all, congrats on your 427. Beautiful car.
Looks like you pretty much found a "new" car!!
I bought my 427 brand new in June of 2013 from Boardwalk Chevrolet.
I had it shipped from California to South Florida by Intercity Lines. They were wonderful!!
Three thousand miles right to my front door!
The most unforgettable car buying experience ever for me. It was Christmas in July!
Actually, the most unforgettable, exciting purchase I have made....period!
My family and buddies were with me when the truck arrived.
It was awesome!
The driver kept in touch with me to let me know when he would arrive at my home.
I have enjoyed it for over four years now. It is beautiful, powerful and puts a smile on my face just to look at it.
Getting ready to go on a long trip through the mountains of North Carolina with it.
Enjoy yours in good health!!

a lot of great pictures and cars here................. almost all models represented..............

had a black base coupe, '07 with 8,800 miles that I purchased used with 6,500 miles on it in the fall of 2014.................... had it in a show and another individual wanted to purchase it in June of 2016...........

made a fair deal for him and myself and then found my current car locally at a dealer where it sat unsold for over 400 days...............

was a GM car, VIN number 37, and had 22,800 miles on it when I went and looked at it................. didn't look as it does now, needed a lot of small fix-ups, touch ups, tires, and make it mine personally without taking away from the rarity of being 1 of 251.......................

this was from a recent trip I made for the Black Hills Corvette Classic with a few other forum members I can now consider friends...................

427. We bought it 5 years ago when they first debuted. 11,000 miles of smiles so far. Will be taking her to Carlisle this week for the big show.
