Default Have a Porsche -- but still love my C6!

I just got back from another recreational drive in my 2012 GS; what a great feeling still after 5 years and over 40,000 miles. I'm so glad I kept it when I got my 911 Turbo S. Even though the Porsche does just about everything faster and better (as a top-of-the-line should), and I love it, there's still something about the C6, raw, a little unrefined, rattling its way along, the NA V8 growling, those beautiful C6 lines and curves -- it's embedded itself in my car-loving heart. I feel really fortunate to be able to have this much fun at this late stage of my life.

I'd love to hear the reflections of other 911+Vette owners, too.

I dont have a 911 but my guy and I had a 16 Stingray and my 06 vet. We liked both and then we sold the 16 after we got a Mercedes Maybach. IT like your Porsche has magical stuff. Imagine a 5000 plus pound car you can drive like a Corvette but at the push of a button is the most luxurious car I ever been in.

With that said I still love my 06. IT is reasonably comfy and rides nice with the mag shocks. I actually dont miss the Stingray one bit......

I'm one, opposite circumstances though. The 911 (997) has been my DD for 8 yrs, got the Vette earlier this year. One reason I went with a C6 is so I didn't need to sell the 911 to defray the cost. They really are an entirely different driving experience, each thrilling in its own distinct way. I love having both and being able to switch between them at will. Here there's no cold or snow so they are both year-round cars. I drive about 6500 mi/yr total, so each car gets driven enough to keep things limber but still stay low mileage. Another plus is belonging to PCA and a Corvette club, twice as many great people and events.

I drove a 2004 XJR8 supercharged for last four years. Around 400 HP. Big, smooth, comfortable. Sold it and bought a 2006 C6 M6 Base. Second childhood. I wake up and drag myself to work at five AM every morning. The Corvette gets my blood boiling on the worst of Mondays. The Jag was great. The Vette I love.

I have a 1971 Datsun 240Z (owned for 30 years) and recently got a 1995 Nissan 300ZX Twin Turbo. I've had my Grand Sport for a little over 2 years. The Vette is a very special car to me and has a whole different feel and elicits a whole other feeling (from me) and reaction (from others) than the other two. I truly like all 3, but for different reasons.
