Default Battery tray removal?

2006 M-6 Vert

While removing my battery I dropped a socket and it went under the battery tray. It looked simple, 3 bolts. Removed the bolts but it seems to still be "stuck". Am I missing other bolts?

Thanks,
Steve

I asked this same question a couple of years ago and never got an answer. I'll wait here with you and hope somebody chimes in. Mine did not budge after I removed the three bolts.

If im not mistaking, i think when looking down at the tray there is an opening in the center of the tray and two bolts you have to remove.

I did the same thing but dropped the wratchet and socket. Don't remember there being any hidden bolts. Try tapping it with a hammer.

Was able to find my lost tools in the black hole under there.

I have never looked, but you can't get a magnet under the tray to pull the socket out?

If it's the battery tray for under hood - There's 4 bolts, lol... Just ripped mine out to do a battery relocation to rear. I have a 2007 m6 so yours might be different .

4 bolts.. 4th is easy to overlook when installed

I didn't see where it went. Then after looking at it I wanted to take it out and clean it up. The battery that was in there when I got it and it kind of made a little mess. I am going to go with a yellow top.

Thanks,
Steve
