When I bought my first Corvette the dealer had a front plate installed. When I went to remove it I was pleasantly surprised that it was held on with large sticky dots, which when removed left no residue and there was no drilling required. So, if I get a ticket for no front plate I will just use the same method to get the ticket written off and then remove it when done.
This This
is the closest thing I can find to that rubbery sticky adhesive they used.

Are you for real? I mentioned I heard it from my landscaper, that’s how. Just the messenger.

BS but nothing I can do about it.
Get yourself a "Show n go" front plate. That's what I got. You can get them remote control or manual.
Corvettes are magnets to CHP (my personal experiences) as far as Tinted windows and front plates go.

I have a RPI front license plate mount for sale if you need a front plate. Half the price, and you'll have no more worries with or without the plate deepening on what you're doing.

I got 3 warnings about 2 years after driving my new Vette. They were on Long Island and in Westchester. I don't
like the DMV and I hate the court systems, so....... I elected to put a Top Flight holder and my plate on the front. It took me a while to get used to it and finally just ignore it. At least I won't be bothered with that BS anymore.

Don't want to drill holes? Get a top-flight and follow the law where you live and quit whining.

I survived 12 years in Illinois without running a front plate on my C5. I kept it behind the passenger seat in case I ever got pulled over and asked about it, but it never happened - and I did get pulled over a time or three.

Thank goodness I retired and moved back home....no front plate required.

That's not legal in every state. Texas, for example, requires the state name to be visible along with the tag number.

Man o man. Chicago, Lisle, Downers grove, Bolingbrook, Naperville, Oaklawn love getting you for no front plate. Some here are $50-$100 fine. My C6 came with some bracket in front that easily comes off if I wanted no front plate. They will ticket you while parked in the grocery store parking lot for no font plate.

My TA and GTO never had one until they started hounding people for not having one.

Here they will not accept " its in the back seat, on the dashboard, or I forgot or I didn't know it was required or the best one is the car didn't come with one" excuse. I had a judge double my fine when I told him that. He said drill the holes and mount it ...$200 fine...pay the clerk.

You are correct about the cops in Plano. I just put a front tag on my vette after years of never running one on any of my "fun" cars. I just want to avoid the hassle of being pulled over.
Interesting. I lived in Plano from 1996 until 2018 and never had a front plate on my fun cars. Never got pulled over for the infraction. I did get a warning from the DPS a few months ago. Have a friend that has an image of his plate on vinyl applied to the front of his car (C5) and I think he has been getting by with that.

Glad I live in Indiana, no front plates and we allow original "year of manufacture" plates on vintage vehicles.
My Firebird has a '67 plate on it and never had any trouble with the police.

Like someone mentioned, motorcycles aren't required to have a front plate. Also, if it's so important, why isn't the front plate not illuminated at night???

Can't you tell him you just arrived, illegally, from Mexico, and that your Vette identifies as a rear-plate-only truck? I thought Kali was a sanctuary state?

Oh, I knew that comment was coming, you should have cleaned the front before the picture was taken. So funny, no one misses a thing here.
