Keep having to attach trunk partition! Cure?
Hi,
My convertible top trunk partition is always coming off preventing the top form going down . What can be done to 'tighten' it up

Follow the switch wiring and there's a plug down behind the side carpet in the trunk.
Unplug the switch and clip the wires between the switch and plug. Then solder or use a crimp butt splice to connect them together. Plug the looped wires back into the wiring harness.
If you ever want to return it to original, just remove the splice and connect it back to the switch, or replace the switch with a new one and plug it in.

No velcro.
Here's what I did. I unplugged the switch from the harness. I cut the wires at the switch. I stripped off the insulation, slid a piece of shrink tubing on, then soldered the two wires together. (You can use a instead if you can't solder the wires.) Now plug that modified switch wiring back into the car's wiring harness.
