Default Keep having to attach trunk partition! Cure?

Hi,
My convertible top trunk partition is always coming off preventing the top form going down . What can be done to 'tighten' it up

That's what I did too. Just short the two wires together.

That switch is just another annoying nanny. I never needed it on any of my other convertibles.

Follow the switch wiring and there's a plug down behind the side carpet in the trunk.

Unplug the switch and clip the wires between the switch and plug. Then solder or use a crimp butt splice to connect them together. Plug the looped wires back into the wiring harness.

If you ever want to return it to original, just remove the splice and connect it back to the switch, or replace the switch with a new one and plug it in.

Velcro or double stick tape the two round connectors together?

No velcro.

Here's what I did. I unplugged the switch from the harness. I cut the wires at the switch. I stripped off the insulation, slid a piece of shrink tubing on, then soldered the two wires together. (You can use a
crimp type butt splice connector crimp type butt splice connector
instead if you can't solder the wires.) Now plug that modified switch wiring back into the car's wiring harness.

One of my clips was bad so I just swapped it with one of the floor mounts since I could not get a replacement
