My Cooper Zeon RS3-S tires have asymmetric tread and no direction arrow on them. Doesn't that mean I can spin them the opposite direction if I choose too?
I don't know if you read my entire comment, as it was not about directional tires. It was about steel-belted radials not being able to be run in different directions. If you go to a tire shop and ask them, I can almost guarantee you they will say to never rotate radials side to side.

That's interesting because the C7 manual recommends rotating side to side every 7,500 miles. Yes I know this is C6 forum, but many here have changed from the OEM tires to the PSS summer, which is asymmetrical, but not directional.

I think its OK to rotate the tires from side to side if you do both the front and back at the same time. You just have to drive in reverse then whether they are directional or non-directional or have steel belts. Then no problems and don't have to change tires on the rims either. But you have to have your wheel caps lined up too or your tires might be out of balance and cause more wear going around corners in reverse. A new alignment might not hurt either, after the rotation.

I've owned other vehicles with different size tires on the front and rear. I never messed with them, and the manual said you could not rotate them. I just replaced them when they wore out.

Hard to do that with posi rear. Edit: Didn’t notice the 4 year old thread
