Default Factory installed xm equipment

I'm determined and will not give up; I'm engineer by trade and I know there is a solution.

Has anyone installed factory xm equipment into a C6 that did not come with factory installed xm?

I have everything installed and the radio is not recognizing the xm box. The dealer is not helpful.

I'm guessing that someone with w/ Tech II needs to program the radio to recognize the XM module.

I have to ask....but you've called Sirius/XM and gave them the radio ID or ESN number, along with making sure your Sirius/XM account is active.

The HU should get the sirius preview channel whether there is an existing account or not.

I think extrapilot hit it ... somebody with a Tech II needs to check the box to tell the HU there is XM out there.

Default VIS report

Go to a local GM dealer with your VIN and request the VIS report for Warranty and Build history.
If you have the XM from the factory, it will show up on the Build history.

Mine did not come from the factory with xm installed. I've installed all the parts.

I'm about to buy a tech 2 and do the programming myself.
