Three compliments within an hour
I took my '09 to a hand car wash on Wednesday and as I exited the car one of the other customers who had just exited his car said "Beautiful car man." I gave him my usual "thank you". After the car was washed I was waiting for it in the patio area and an older woman commented to her friend on what a beautiful car it is. I left the car wash feeling about ten feet tall and headed over to the Post Office to mail my state tax return. Inside the PO I couldn't help but notice this striking young brunette with a baby in a carrier. She had the full compliment of assets. Nice, large *****, a trim waist and a great booty. I smiled and asked a few questions about her 10 month old daughter. I go out to the parking lot and she must have been right behind me because she went to the car next to me to get the baby into her car seat. She looked over, gave me a dazzling smile, and said "what a beautiful car". I told her it was part of my bucket list and we both laughed. My Le Mans Blue '69 never got this kind of general public recognition. At car shows it got a lot of eyeball because it was a big block car, but on the street most folks didn't seem to notice it. There must be something about red Corvettes. Prince knew what he was singing about.

Got complimented at the atm last week. "You must be doing something right in life to own that", is what he said. I thanked him and said it's all do to hard work and money management.

I used to go to the A&W every Tuesday because you can get two Papa Burger Combos for the price of one. On successive Tuesdays I came through the drive thru with a 2000 Camaro Z28, a 1969 Mustang convertible, a 2004 GMC Safari van and my 2009 Corvette. The kid complimented me on the Corvette and asked "How many cars do you have?" Actually I still had a 2013 Nissan Altima at home but I just smiled and thanked him for the compliment on the Vette.

I pulled up to a stop light in my Vette at Scottsdale Road and Deer Valley yesterday afternoon. There was a guy with a sign in the intersection "Need Help. Need Money". He came up to my window and gave me his spare change...said, here buddy, you look like you could use this more than me.

I love the non corvette public. Yesterday, I donated my yearly $10 to the state of Louisiana in the form of my inspection sticker. The lady working the shop could not believe my car was a 2005. She asked if I could leave it running bc she loved the way that it sounded. The two people in line behind me also came up to look at my car. It's almost like a proud parent feeling.

The same thing happened...my son ( who I fully trust ) had the Vette and somebody approached him. The guy said beautiful car, it's nice to see a young guy with a car like this. He said "thanks, but it's my dad's"

Last Fall I parked by GS in front of Embassy Suites to check in. These two Valets were battling each other wanting to be next in line to park my car. The valet says "Nice car sir. I can park that for you". I said no thanks, I've seen Ferris Buellar's Day Off.
I wouldn't let a valet or anyone else get behind the wheel of my Corvette.
It's funny that I can program a key in my Ford Flex and Fiesta to limit the speed and other options, but I can't do it in a Corvette.

Yep, seems to happen every time I take the C6 out, the other day at an Infiniti dealer looking for a new SUV I pulled in, the valet parker said "I'm sure you don't want us to park your car" and gave me a nice corner spot. As I was leaving another valet said to me "that's one beautiful car you got there man"...I really think the C6 is in the list of the top 5 most beautifully designed cars ever built and it encompasses all generations, EVERYONE loves the C6!

I'm a cyber security expert, and I would never electronically post my tax return in that manner, especially not to save $2 to mail a manila envelope.

You can file your taxes electronically and pay your other bills online also but, it's not near as much fun as driving your vette to pay them all !
