Interested to see the responses to this thread. Does not have to be a similar type of car at all. Wondering what people's thoughts are? Would it be another Corvette? Pickup truck? RV? Mustang?
For me... I love Corvettes. There has been a lot of interesting offerings in the market. I like the Raptor, Escalade, Viper, GT500, CTS-V but I'm still hanging on to the Vette for now

First off, if you are keeping your's WHY ask the question.........
there is a section in the OT for "Other Cars"..............
granted, a lot of choices in the automotive world today............
but NONE are a truly affordable AMERICAN sports car.........

Good question. I'm keeping mine for now. A lot of new choices are definitely interesting in 2018. Most pickup trucks have 500HP, most sedans are faster than our C6's, etc. I didn't ask in OT specifically because I wanted to see what C6 owner's thought since we share a similar platform.

First, not planning on selling mine anytime soon.
Now, hypothetically if I was considering it and since I already have a Gen5 Camaro SS (my 2nd choice in vehicles) as my DD, I'd go for another C6, just a newer version.

I don't know slowstang, I think of a 70 Chevelle SS, often times think of another 70 Mach1. For my money for a hobby car I will probably stick with a C6 because of the comforts along with performance and I like the style of the car as well or better than any other. If I had an extra million bucks I would have one or more of all of them. The fast sedans and high horsepower pick ups don't interest me.

I would only replace my Vette with another Vette. I'd probably go with a GS to have the wide body.

I'm thinking:
ZR1
'67 camaro (to restomod)
Something AWD, turbo and manual trans
But, no plans to get rid of the GS. I'll have to total it or knock somebody up. Still probably keep it..

2018 F150 fully loaded Lariat Supercrew 4X4 with a 5.0 and the 10-speed auto. Then I would drop a Whipple supercharger on it and surprise all of the unsuspecting Mustangs, Corvettes, etc. when they were left in the dust. Standard, canned tune on the Whipple puts out 730 hp.
Second choice would be Gen-3 CTS-V.
But it's not going to happen anytime in the near future.

A problem arose with that plan since we both love the car and have not enjoyed driving a vehicle that much since the muscle car era of the 60's and early 70's when we had a muscle car for 14 years as a daily driver. We will now enjoy our new addition and are in planning stages of several scenic, off the beaten path road trips and intent to keep the car as a family heirloom instead. We will have to look to alternative means to acquire our pickup truck now.

C7 GS would be first on the list to check out.
Would also want to check out the Focus RS.
But as others have said, no plans on selling this one. Still gives me a thrill after almost 10 years .

I'm a big fan of the 1970 Mach 1's. I was in the market for one before I bought my vette. Searched for the right one for like 2 years but just couldn't find the right one at the right price.
Other cars I would consider would be either the C7 Grand Sport or a new Mustang GT350.
