Note, fuel pump is on the drivers side tank, with a venture pump over on the passenger side that is fluid pressure driving by the driver fuel pump through the cross over tube.
If you have a problem over on the passenger side tank, then a O ring problem or cracked tank instead.
(1) Fuel Fill Hose
(2) Left Fuel Tank Grade Vent Valve
(3) Fuel Feed Pipe to Engine
(4) 5/16 Inch Auxiliary Fuel Feed Pipe
(5) 3/8 Inch Auxiliary Fuel Return Pipe
(6) Right Fuel Tank Grade Vent Valve
(7) Fill Limiter Vent Valve (FLVV)
(8) Secondary Fuel Pressure Regulator
(9) Siphon Jet Pump
(10) Convoluted Crossover Hose
(11) Anti-siphon Hole
(12) Fuel Sender Reservoir
(13) Turbine Fuel Pump
(14) Venturi Pump
(15) Primary Fuel Pressure Regulator
(16) Reverse Flow Check Valve
(17) Fuel Filter

I received my letter yesterday for my 2013. I received another letter for a different item last summer.....I just put these in the glove box and hope I don't need them.

I too received the letter. From time to time after filling the tank I have noticed a "gas smell" so looks like I have the issue.
This leads me to wonder what exactly is involved in the repair? Anyone care to weigh in as to what they have to do to get to the problem?

Got mine on Monday for my 2010 GS. I just got the car in October and it's been sitting in the garage (full tank) since November. No fuel smell yet (fingers crossed) but the car only has 11,xxx miles.

After filling up, we would get an occasional fuel smell in the car while driving. But only when going around right-hand corners. We were lucky- replaced the gas cap and no fuel smell for the last 40k miles.

I got mine for the 2008 last fall.....just filed with my papers as I have no problem. It will be 10 years since it went into service this fall.....wow, time sure does fly!

Are the people getting the letters the original owners or is GM actually tracking down all owners?
The unfortunate thing is it probably does not apply to me in another country, this does worry me, but no signs of it yet. I would be happy if it covered the parts and I did the job myself.

This is not a recall. If you don't have the issue no work is done.
So far so good for me, 70K miles.

Picked up my CPO 2013 GS vert last Nov. In service date is May 2014.
VIS report shows it had the fuel tank and clutch master cyl extended warranty when I bought it. Got my offical letter yesterday.
