Head light Blues......
So there is was last night driving my 07 home, its dark in my neighbor hood as we have very little street lighting and all of sudden, the headlights go off. That will get your attention really fast!
Luckily I was aware of the potential problem (I read about it here on the forum) and I have the recall notice for this exact thing so I flipped on the High beams and drove the rest of the way home. It will be going in Monday for fix. The car has 140,000 miles on it now and has been relatively trouble free so I'm not really that mad, just a little disconcerting from a safety point of view when something like this happens. So I would suggest that If you have not had the recall repair done, (I'm pretty sure it applies to all C6's) Please do so as soon as possible.

Do the fog lights also go off when the low beams do? If they stay on, that's a good reason to always have them on.

Yep. Been getting notices for that recall by mail lately. I also have a 07. I really should fix this so thanks for the reminder again. I have been lazy lately. Its just adding a jumper wire in the (UBEC).

Low beam headlight recall, I think they run a new jumper wire in the fuse box. The recalls been out for awhile now, I'm surprised they haven't contacted you, I was getting them every couple of months from area dealers.

Yeah....I had my 12 GS done last year....just wish the fix ( running a jumper wire ) didn't look so "amateurish" ...the wire is clearly visible and looks like a "quick fix".....but I guess the most important thing is that it does indeed prevent the problem!
