Default Lifting the skirt up and taking a look

Good Lord, it's only January and I feel like this is the longest winter of my life. The Corvette was new to me in March of last year, so this is the first winter hibernation. I owned motorcycles all my life and even took a road trip 3 days before Christmas once to pick up a new one and never experienced this kind of impatience for spring. I just couldn't take it any longer and lifted the cover off of it in the garage to put my new Lloyds mats in and just sat in the drivers seat for like 15 minutes or so. I feel like 47 going on 12....

Well that was disapointing to say the least. I expected much more.

Yeah, mine is in hibernation as well. Getting impatient and winter isn't anywhere close to being done here. Just about 3 feet of snow on the ground now with predictions of snow for the next 5 days..........................

If the Corvette saw it's shadow, it'll be 8 more weeks of winter!

I got my c6 in september, I don't have a garage, so the car was covered up until last night with this crazy windstorm. Blew my cover off... so I frantically got my cover off the ground, and then checked the car to make sure it was okay lol... It's fine. My cover is currently in my house drying, because it was blown into snow/puddles of water. Going to inspect it for dust, dirt, and possible other debris, then re-cover the car. But I caught myself staring at the car for about 10 minutes, looked great uncovered. but, needs to be covered lol.

Don't know how you guys handle all that snow. And you can't drive your vettes to boot. Ouch!

Need more farting cows so global warming will speed up. Record heat...80 deg... down here on the gulf coast, near the equator.

It seems to me that time goes by fast since I have gotten older. It will be spring before you know it.

Just because you can't drive doesn't mean you cant be working on it. Winter is a great time to be doing mods.

It's a great time to do all the mods, cleaning etc. without being rushed.

in my attached garage, winter here in MI, so plenty of both the white stuff and cold temps. but also plenty of time to do any mods or other repairs or items you may want to complete before "driving" season returns....

I have only one word - CALIFORNIA!!!! Don't have to worry about snow or hurricanes. If it gets hot then just pump up the A/C. If not, then just drop the top.

Today was sunny and over 80 degrees here in North Texas. Mine went for a nice long run today. Not sure I could handle living up north again. Even on long rainy weekends I find myself out in the garage tinkering with it. Cleaning something or "tuning the stereo" as I tell my kids...

I couldn't imagine owning a nice vehicle and having to park it outside. I would rent garage space or store it in a storage unit.

Just jacked mine up and put it on jack stands for winter. While I was at it I removed the wheels and stacked them in the corner of the garage. Put the cover on the car and a tarp over the wheels and tires. Major ice storm predicted for Friday and Saturday here in OKC.

I take it that they won't be filming Street Outlaws then?

I'm sure it's great weather, but I couldn't become that liberal.

No way could I become a guy that hides in my special place to cry when life is a little rough and I like to own and carry firearms. Heck, I think I heard that in CA you can't carry more than 10 shots in your BB gun....
