Default EBay vendor: Brake Motive, Hi Quality brake rotors?

Does anybody have any experiences or knowledge of the level of quality of brake rotors being sold by this Ebay vendor named: Brake Motive?
I'd like to hear what you forum members have to say about this vendor before I fork some hard earned cash.

They're made in China, so yeah, they work, but they're definitely not high quality. I had a set on my C5 and the zinc coating started coming off and discoloring after about six months.

I've put them on three different Silverados, including my current one, and they're fine. For the price, you should give them a try.

I put a set on my 2008 w/F55 last Spring and they have worked out well. I drive the car year-round in Michigan, so it has been out in the salt a few times and the zinc plating is still holding up perfectly (it may be a different story next Spring, but so far so good!). I don't know how they would hold up to track use, but I would buy them again to put on a daily driver (and probably will when my 2009 vert needs rotors).
Enjoy,

Have a set on my 08 for about 2 years now with no problems. They were a forum vendor when I bought mine. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ices-ever.html

They do look good on the car after I painted the hats.

I have used them many times in the past on a lot of different cars and never a problem.

I was skeptical about these type vendors and parts. I bought off eBay (don't remember the seller) a set of rotors and pads for my 05 Corvette and my 04 Silverado. Had both installed at a small local shop. Both cars are trouble free after about 10,000miles each.

Are these rotors true directionals ( both left and right)? Or are they only 1 direction only like the factory Z06?

On our '02 c5, no problems. Also on our '03 Explorer. Nephew has had them on 3 vehicles foreign and domestic with no issues.

I disagree. I have purchased five sets from them for different vehicles, and all items were as exactly what I expected. Now, I had no reason to contact customer service because everything was as it should be. Maybe they have problems in that area, but I do like the product.

I was surprised to see this thread. I got home late last night with my new-to-me Corvette. One of the things I noticed on my 600 mile drive home was pulsing in the brakes. First thing I did when I got home was purchase a complete set of discs and ceramic pads from Brake Motive.

I will have the other rotors turned, if they still have life left in them, and will keep them for the next brake job.

When I contacted them about the peeling and discoloring zinc coating on my rotors I was told too bad, they weren't going to do anything about it.

I put a set on my car. I'm happy after over a year and 3000 miles. Get a little brake dust, but I didn't buy ceramic pads. Very rare to have salt or snow on the roads around here and if there was I would not drive in those conditions so no issues with the zinc coating. Looks better than the stock rotors. If I was in the situation as Corvette Ed I'd probably just paint the affected zinc surface. With a little elbow grease and paint you still would be saving money.

No, it was within the six months. Just barely, but still within. I was told it was expected wear and tear, which I didn't buy for a second. Needless to say, they won't be getting my business again, and I'll be in the market for new rotors within the next few months. KNS brakes will be getting that business instead.

Bought a set for my 08 Z51 did not like them sent them back for a refund.
