Help shifter knob removal

It appears your screw is missing. They don't just fall out, the factory uses Loctite on them and they're a bear to remove (mine was a Phillips head, BTW, but I've heard they could be Torx or other...) Once the screw is out, the **** should just pull up off the shaft. I don't even see the chrome trim ring on the boot...did you buy the car used, has someone been messing with it?

Well i tried so hard to pull it or rotate but no luck.
Is it possible that they glued it ?

the screw that goes in **** can be purchased at Lowe's. I have the package from my '08 when I replaced the **** a few years ago. If you need the number let me know and I can try to find the package and post the number for the screw.

With the bolt removed you have to rotate the **** before it'll separate from the shaft. That brown stuff in the hole is probably glue though since you would most likely have accidentally spun it around since the screw is already missing. Without knowing what type of glue it is it's hard to recommend a way to deal with it. Gorilla glue is brown though and water based, but I don't know if water can be used to soften it after it has already set up.

I can slide the boot down but there is so kind of ball or something in the bottom.

thanks if you can put the part number. Maybe it will help me with installing the new somehow

There may not be a allen in there ( original screw may be missing) but if there is, the set of allen keys you bought should be metric and SAE as it could be either.

If it is glued on then my suggestion would be to pull the shifter boot all the way down as far as you can get it and heat the shaft of the shifter with a heat gun to somewhat loose in the glue. Then you might be able to pull it off
