Broke the black plastic grill on my C6 when trying to install a Retro Grill! What type of glue should I use to fix?

We use a product in our shop that is darn good with plastic.. I own the shop but my mechanic is out of town for a day.. I will give you the product name when I get it from him... Way more advanced than super glue.. He goes on and on about it.

Mechanic called in and the product is PVC Epoxy by JB Weld.. He advises that above the Gorilla stuff.. 2 part mix as directed.. I know it holds well on our plastic collant resivors on our KW diesel trucks.. This is what my mechanic recommends. Good luck

Better than Gorilla glue? What items has he tested both adhesives on? When you say it is better, I am impressed, but want to know what he did that proves it is better.
I know JB makes some great products, though I have also used some of their stuff that was really not effective. I will give the PVC Epoxy a try, along with Gorilla glue, the next time I need something repaired.

We have Gorilla glue and other products on our shelf.. I'm just relaying information from my mechanic for in his opinion the best product he knows of for the repair of a plastic grill.. We use super glue Gorilla tape duct tape.. Running the equipment we run we use a wide variety of adhesives.. Not experts by any stretch just my best answer for the man with the broken plastic grill... There is another "Dub" in the paint and body forum who may be the go to pro on the matter.. peace.

JFYI, a new grille from an online dealer or fair parts counter guy is in the $50-60 range, in case the glue job doesn't produce the result you like.
