Close rooms are gone, so you can plan on driving about 20 minutes to half an hour or more to or from the fairgrounds. Do they jack up the prices?? No. The GOUGE THE HECK OUT OF US! The hotel we have stayed at for the last 4 years jacked it up from $129 last year to $179 a night this year with a 3 night minimum. These rooms go for about $85 a night any other days that are not car event weekends. So we're staying about 25 minutes away for $89 a night and I'll keep my money for Corvette goodies! You can still find rooms out there.

Thanks for the info..it's an 8 hour drive for me so I'm still debating..I've never been before..I wanted to go with a pocket full of cash but my purchasing power is not at Rockstar level at the moment..I may still go anyway!

I am staying in chambersburg for 65 bucks a night at a small motel with 3.5 stars.
All I need is a clean room no other goodies. They do give you a free breakfast
Take the 8 hour drive it's worth seeing Carlisle once in your life!

first time for wife and i. not even taking my car. about 2.5 hour ride and there's plenty of vettes to keep us busy lol..

staying at a Hilton in Harrisburg think it was 150 or so a night but includes breakfast and chain i trust having used them in past. that was from hotels.com or travelocity.

Can anyone tell me if there's parking all over nearby like say in greenbay for a home game? where people rent out there lawns lol...

Yes. You'll find plenty of people who do that. There's one right outside of gate 3 that is always packed.

Just about all of the homes near the fairgrounds rent out their lawns for parking.

My suggestion, take the Vette. You'll be itching to drive it after seeing the show.

Wow. How'd you find this ancient thread? The current CAC thread is in the National Events Forum.
