A black C-6 with enough dust on it to write in ??....shame---shame---shame on you. But don't worry, those minute scratches will come out easily. Not sure why everyone is acting like your gonna have to pay someone to get them out. Unless of course some 300 # big guy wrote it while mashing down as hard as he could. Didn't look like that though. Try some decent wax and a little elbow grease and should be good as new.

Was it in the street? It would take giant nards to walk up a driveway and do that.
I'm guessing your Wife, or some kids. They knew how to spell wash, so it probably wasn't kids.

If you are that **** about your paint you might want to consider an outdoor car cover if you are going to leave your car outside for extended periods.

I feel the OP's pain! There is no excuse for anyone touching another person's car, Corvette or not, period, end of story. If I ever see anyone doing that, they will get it with both barrels from me.

At least you didn't have a Service Writer at a dealership put a piece of paper on the hood to write down the VIN with a pen.

I have many issues with dealerships. I may need therapy.

Someone did this across my front left quarter panel in Germany. Wrote WASH ME across the entire panel!! Luckily for me, it was on a military installation AND a good Soldier exposed the dumbass.

Sadly, it was an NCO of all dumbasses.

That's okay. Because I had him wash my quarter panel with warm soap and water and then every window on our building that was on the first floor.

That was a nice 3 hour corrective action that hopefully he'll never forget.

Just get some ultrafine buffing compound, elbow grease and wax and you will be fine. Good excuse to detail the car. I did'nt like a someone backing a pickup truck over the front of my car in a parking lot, but these things happen in life. We will be o.k.

Whats up guys. I agree and am aware the car needs serious polishing. I just bought it a few months ago. I have everything needed to polish my car. Yes i am annoyed somebody wrote on it but i was planning on polishing it when i have a couple of days off. Ill try to post some before and after detailed pics/vids to show the before and after of the paint defects from poor paint care in the past. I expect the paint to look significantly better after some correction. Should be fun. Take care guys. I love this forum. Ill be using meguiars 105 and 205 with a PC.

Must not have had a good wax job on your car. If a fingertip and dust scratched the clearcoat. I'm sure you'll have it all worked out.
