Steel frame on non-Z06 models yes; steel fenders.....not just no, but oh hell no.

That reminds me, several several years back I sold my '73 vette. The guy that answered the ad came to my house to look at it and ended up purchasing the car from me. But....he brought a magnet with him and went straight to the quarter panel. He put it on the quarter and it fell off. He said...bondo? I said it's not a '65 Mustang like the one you're driving!

I laughed so hard. I think he had Rustang so engrained to his past that he's overly paranoid. It was fun to educate him on vettes.
