Default C6 Hinson Headers

You get what you pay for! The H pipe was not welded together straight, headers were fine. I had to get Hinson to send another one after paying a deposit.

Good to hear, let us know how it goes OK.

Just wondering, where did you order them from and how much did they set you back?!

Thanks!

I ordered direct from Hinson.

C6 ceramic coated headers (black or silver) with catted H pipe is $1049.99

Without cats you get an Xpipe for $849.00

I just had Hinson headers installed on my 08 two weeks ago.

According to my installer, they went in without a hitch. They sound awesome. They do seem to put out quite a bit of heat, even though they're coated, but that could be normal. This is my first header install so I don't know, but I'm glad I ordered the spark plug boots as well...

While I'm here...has anyone used the wraps on their headers to help with heat? Seems like a nice, inexpensive solution if they work.

Thanks!

Heres how I wrapped my headers, while they definitely help with the heat they also muffle the sound. that pretty blue color only last until they heat up then they turn white as the heat burned all the color off. just a few things to consider.

I paid $1,172 delivered for the 1 7/8" coated headers and X pipe, gaskets, header bolts, and spark plug boots.

There may be a better deal around, I don't know, but I was in a little bit of a bind. I ordered a set of OBX headers, waited forever for them to come in, and when they did they were wrong. The problem was my car was already at my tuner/installer, in the middle of a cam install, so I had to have something fast. Hinson got them to me in two days free shipping.

I'm happy with them, and I would buy from them again...

If you want to wrap headers do not get them ceramic coated. Have read bad things about that.

I have Hinson headers and love them. Very easy install. Hope you enjoy them!

Oh yeah...don't forget the B&B Fusion to top it off!

I think Hinson must be listening, the packaging seemed better than I read about in posts just this year and the O2 extensions are 32" instead of 20" a few had complained about. No scratches on the coating were found. I have the patient prepped and ready to start on this evening after it cools off.
What year is your car?

I also had a very good experience with Hinson, the only problem that I had is the box with the headers was delivered on a Friday (following my order on Tuesday) but the O2 extensions where delivered in a separate box on Saturday (weird). But otherwise the quality was great and they went on without a hitch. I ended up heat wrapping the O2 extensions as they ran a little close for comfort but I've had no problems with nearly 1000 miles on them!

Thanks guys! I kindof like the looks of them wrapped...even if they dont stay blue. Last question hopefully, I need cats to pass emissions here in Missouri. Will the headers and x pipe set up on here fit with cats? Or do I need to get a catted x pipe from somewhere else?
