Default locked keys in the car how can i get in

I was changing the battery out and had to leave and closed the hatch with no power. I was going to open it with the key that goes above the license plate. but had that key inside the car. Is there a way to pop the hood from underneath and hook up the cables to the fuse box for a jump so the car has power for the key fob?

I've had an eerily similar problem to what your currently describing...
If you connect jumper to the hot wire to your starter and a ground on side and then the new battery IN THE CORRECT POLARITY on the other side you should be able to get enough charge to call ONSTAR and have them unlock the doors for you. Your other option is a locksmith to jimmy the lock at the hatch and let you in.

A dealer or maybe a locksmith can cut you a new key. You will need VIN and proof of ownership.

Good luck!

Wait a while and maybe the stalkers who have your house and car bugged will hit their magic unlock button for you.

Pop the hood from underneath? No.

Jack up the car, and attach jumper cables to the starter terminal (+) and frame (-). That *should* give the car power to respond to the fob.

And next time, don't forget C6 Rule #1 -- NEVER put the keys/fob down inside the car. Not even "for a second". Keep them in your pocket.

I locked my fob in the trunk of my vert one day and my tow service, RVRoadhelp, thru Allstate, sent a guy out with a small air bladder that he wedged into the end of the window and slowly pumped it up enough so that he could reach in with a tool and unlock the door. Then the inside trunk button worked and voila, I was in.

Won't work. There is a wall between the liner and the light.

Take the fob key and have a regular key cut. Do a search for the blank number on the forum, it has been in several threads in the last two years. Tape the key to the back of your license plate or somewhere else you can get at it easily. NEVER have that problem again !

So did they get in the car? If not, I can tell you how to do it, but I won't post it here.

I have one on my key chain. Its a common blank anyone who makes keys should be able to find the right one.
