Need some opinions, friends
This may sound very spoiled and bratty, but it is not meant to be. I have a 2005 base model Corvette. 84k miles. I've owned the car for 4 years now and I've enjoyed it. Recently, I've found myself driving the car less and I realized I've become bored with the car. (I know that sounds awful) Granted the weather hasn't been the best in Kentucky- lots of rain and a little chilly. So the top has come off very few times this year. It should start to warm up soon.
Anyway, I've tossed around the idea of selling it. It's a great car and has never caused me any issues, but it just doesn't light up my world like it used to.
I've thought about modding the car- wheels, cam, full exhaust. Currently the car is bone stock. But I don't know if I should dump several thousand dollars into the car.
A side note, I do have a 77 Vette that runs well but needs some attention.
Should I sell? Should I mod? What can I do to get out of this funk!?
I just don't know what to do my friends! Help me out!

If you are bored with it I would sell it and get something else. Do you know what that something else is? Throwing money at mods won't last long in my opinion. You can always come back.

Do what you feel is right for you. You shouldn't let someone else's opinion
dictate what is right for you. Only you know what your heart and your head can determine whats best for you in your situation. If you sell it and miss it you can always come back

Are you typically bored with things after a while? If so, then maybe the "Vette interest" has just run its course, and you move on.
If not, maybe its just that you've run out of things to do with it, and a time-extended course of modding might reinvigorate you. Don't do everything at once, or the malaise will return too quickly. I'm in this category myself -- I like to do "projects" on my car over time, even if its just small ones.

Time to sell it and move on to whatever peaks your interest.

Well part of me wants a newer Corvette. Maybe a GS? and part of me wants a viper. And part of me wants to invest the cash toward something more "responsible" lol Corvettes are in my blood, but I just want something that gets me excited again.

You don't sound "spoiled or bratty" at all. The dew is off the rose, so to speak. Your relationship with your '05 has changed and you probably won't be able to get the original rush back. I've got an '09 that I've been using as a DD for the last year and I'm starting to take it for granted too. Modding it is kind of like deciding to have a kid to try to reinvigorate a relationship with a woman. Usually doesn't work and it's detrimental to the kid (or Corvette in this case). There are a lot of cars that I regret having sold and would love to have back, but, at the time, I was done with them. Just sell the Vette to someone else who can get that tingle when he jumps behind the wheel like you had when you first got it, and get on with your own "car guy" journey.
Good luck, brother.

WI's lovely (make it outrageous) weather's heading your way.
Once out w/ top out/down why you bought a C6 to begin with will be abundantly clear.
Lived a number of years in Newburgh, IN. right on the Ohio River, quick jaunt across bridge on 41 & state of KY was right there.
Many great places to cruise in/around KY/southern IN, hellova lot more than many other locations. C6 in garage & you in the house? Get it out & drive it, then see how you feel.

Selling her, it's like, it's like cheating on your wife! How could you? Don't you have any scruples?
Whew, sell her; dropping big money in her sounds like covering up for what you really want, a new love...........go for it

I sold my 76 and got my Z, no regrets and I I'll never say I wish I would have kept it. The little things wearing out were driving me nuts and I was constantly putting money into it. The values are going up a little but will never be worth a lot in my lifetime. You could take the 5-10 from the 77 and do some mods whether cosmetic or engine... my .02
