Had lunch there on the way back from Mammoth in march. Do you go over to 93 and then north...there's really no road north out of Mesquite.

We drive down the I15 about 20 mile to Glendale, take the back roads (NV 168) over to 93 and head North to the ET highway, same route we take to go to Hot August Nights in Reno/Sparks.

After 6 months of scouring the country I found the one 3 miles away. 08 base. It didn't have all the bells and whistles, so I am adding them as I go. So far : HUD, touch screen nav back up camera, rear spoiler, Borla ATAK cat back, wheels, tires, and of course the wide body rear I'm installing right now. Merry Christmas to me !!! I had it one day after the test drive then into the barn for this past winter. What a joy to drive.

I drove my 09' Pontiac G8 GT with bald tires 475 miles during winter, Feb. 21st 2011 with my son(I also had an infection in my ball sack from a Vasectomy) from Buffalo to Chriswell Chevy in Gaithersburg MD. to buy my brand new 2010 GS!! we left my house at 6am and got home at 2am, temperature was 2 degrees. I went right to bed, when I woke up I thought it was a dream, until I went out and opened the garage door, my childhood dream was true!!!!

Spring of 2011...

[QUOTE=Chrisguga;1592229434]The wife and I flew from Jacksonville to Omaha to get her car. 2007 3LT convertible with 15k miles, garage kept, stock, original owner 89 year old man and his 87 year old wife.

We drove it back from Omaha over 1200 miles to South Georgia.

It's now full bolt-ons, DSV leather interior pieces, ZO6 spoiler, etc.

Beautiful car and what a great pic on the bottom!

After 6 months of looking, I found my one owner Z51 convertible 3 1/2 hours away. Called immediately when I saw the listing on a Friday afternoon and bought it over the phone. Called my dad; jumped in the truck to go get it. And best of all....it is now mine!

4,000km (2,400miles) ~ 5 day drive across country.
Found my 2010 3LT F55 12,500km (7,500mile) on-line ~ I'd missed a few good ones locally so took a flyer on this in northwest Alberta. Very happy with it.

I hate to say it but it was only 43 miles from home. All the stars lined up on this "ONE"
have never looked back. Every time I see others I still think this is the ONE.

I went through HELL to get mine.

Actually just the Texas panhandle but pretty much the same thing. Flew to Phoenix AZ to buy it, took a week driving back with my brother, 2450 miles total. High winds in the panhandle fanned brush fires, I40 was closed for 3 hours, then they let us go east to the next exit, turn around and drive a big detour around the fires.

I have longed for years - since I first saw a Corvette in high school - and I finally gave in this past Saturday. Luckily, I didn't have to drive far too get it. Just 2 miles from home. Here's my baby.

My first Vette was purchased from a friend who lived about 60 miles away. Purchased 2003, sold 2010.

This current one I searched for for about an hour and found it on an online ad from a Chevy dealer about 25 miles away. Purchased 2015.

I had to stretch my budget for the "one" Loved the GS & with 13 being the last year of the C6 I knew buying it would be the right move. Sold my C5 privately & drove over 3 hours to Criswell Chevy. Mike had one of the last C6's built (Feb 2013) in my color & options so it was a no brainier with a massive leftover discount!

1130 miles there in the '10 Coupe and 1130 miles back in the '13 GS! Headed from Austin to Milan, Indiana on a friday evening, got back on Sunday.

Per Chevy's database, it was the last GS in NRB with the 6spd and black interior for sale in the US!

Such a great trip.... except for the fact that I was on a mix of pepto and dayquil the whole time....

Still well worth it! I'd do it again in a heartbeat

Good for you - that sounds like something that I would do. As I tell my kids, "Show that you care."
