I am no longer a proud Corvette owner. Sold the car toward a 2013 Viper and so far loving it.
Anyways, I had a lot of work done to the car and if the new owner is a forum member I’ll be glad to help the out and identify what’s been done.

How do you like the viper? I considered one but came to the conclusion that the Corvette is more roomy and more comfortable for daily cruising around. Post some pics of the new ride.

So far I really like it but I couldn't see myself daily driving. Its ride is stiff and its more difficult to get in and out but the power is awesome no matter what RPM. Will post pics after tomorrow.

Absolutely fell in love with your vette.....
I'm the lucky recipient of the vette and it's a beautiful running and looking piece of machine. She will be well taken care of and she is in a good home.......I fell in love with it the second I seen it.....Tastefully done and so much attitude.

Don't get me wrong I loved the Vette and I'll have another in the future but there is something in the Viper's attitude and exclusiveness. It immerses you in the driving experience. There is a sort of this pent up energy feeling in the car and it demands your full attention when behind the wheel.

Glad you like it and hope you get as much enjoyment out of it that I did! If you have any questions on what's been done to the car I'd be happy to help. Also, I have a bunch of receipts that I can scan and send your way. Send me a PM with you info and I'll start getting stuff together.

While not a current Viper fan, I love the silver stripes on black. The Viper is one of those few cars that I think stripes truly look right at home.
I also can't help but notice the extremely strong similarities of the 427 rims to your Viper's. Nearly indiscernible.
Regardless, I'll never talk smack on a Viper, as they are awesome performing machines that set the tempo for ridiculous HP back in 1993. However, just as you mentioned, their ride was much too jarring for me, and I felt like I barely had any legroom at all in the 1st and 2nd gens.
Congrats on the new ride, although I think you had the color right on your 2006

I had seriously tossed around the idea of a Zr1, C7 z06 or waiting for the C7 grand sport. If I had to daily drive the car I would have chosen one of the above.
I have plenty of room in the car. I compare it to the C7. To me there was more room in the C6s but the C7 is still roomy. I'm 6' and my seat isn't back all the way and the pedals still have about 3 inches of travel until they are maxed out.

I'm more a fan of the C6 but then again this isn't a Viper forum.

Miss the Snake,,,
But finally the left knee gave out, and shifting became a pain. When the fun of driving this beast dwindled, it was time to sell it. The C6 automatic became the replacement for the Viper, and had enough money leftover to buy a XLR... Two for one!

Congratulations on the new ride. Like the way they look and the power, but IMO they are one of the most uncomfortable cars I've ever driven. Was parked a few spots down from this one during my last car show & spent some time talking with the owner; even he said the same thing. Said he only takes it to car shows & short cruises.
