Are you saying I've essentially got about 3/4" I can safely drop the rear and leave the front untouched?
I just dont want to have any alignment issues or anything else by dropping only the rear and not the front. Seems everyone drops it as much as you can on all fours and I dont want to drop the front down any further then it is, as it's my daily driver and clearance on these cars is already an issue as is

Drifting
My car is an 08 with Z51 option, and as far as I know, it is the stock height. I think it looks pretty good at that height. Z51's, I believe, sit a little bit lower than the non Z51's.
Here is a photo of my car and photos of the front and rear heights as measured from the ground to the center of the wheel wells.
As you can see, the front fender height is 26 5/16"
The rear fender height is 27 3/4"

[QUOTE= This is my first ever corvette, I picked it up last tuesday and today just happens to be my 21st birthday. Talk about a great birthday present to myself:[/QUOTE]
Great birthday gift to yourself. I'm about to be 50 years older than you on May 2, and I was feeling guilty about buying a $700 rifle for myself. What was I thinking? Great looking car. I've had my '09 for exactly a year now and, aside from the occasional need to haul large items home from Home Depot, I haven't regretted it for a second.

Le Mans Master
It's been a couple weeks coming but i flew almost 1700 miles, and drove this bad boy all the way back home. 2007 c6 This is my first ever corvette, I picked it up last tuesday and today just happens to be my 21st birthday. Talk about a great birthday present to myself
First picture is the day I brought it back, and then the second picture Is about an hour old. Replaced the tiny stock tips with 4" flowmasters, and got a muffler delete. (wow does it sound awesome!!!!) Just got a fresh set of continental rubbers, and the black c7 z06 wheels today.. boy do I love em
On a side note: Anyone know if I can lower the stock bolts only in the rear and leave the front bolts as they sit? wouldn't mind dropping the back down a bit to close some of the wheel well gap.. and If I can, do I need to have an alignment done after?

yeah I know, i was just sort of surprised it was a full 2" difference from front to rear! Definitely would like to drop the rear still, just need some confirmation on doing it properly!

Sure you can just lower only the rear of the car ...
My 2011 GS also sat too high in the rear, so I just lowered it as far as it would go on the stock rear adjustment bolts. Took it down just enough to make it look much better.
It sets ok now ...

Anyone got a informative link on how to properly lpwer the stock bolts? I'll start doing some digging on the forum seems pretty easy, just don't want to jack anything up.

I found this, and he said prior to lowering the car his rear fenders sat at about 28.5" and when he went to lower it the stock rear bolts were already bottomed out at that height! Hoping that is not the case for my car, and there is still some room to lower it.

From looking at your car's photos, I am willing to bet that nobody has already lowered the rear yet.
If you can get it to go even 1" lower in the rear, it will make a big difference in the overall look.
And you don't need an alignment after lowering the rear either ... unless you just like pitching money out the window.
