Default Left Rear Tire Pressure

Just curious, do you guys typically have a lower tire pressure reading after a certain amount of time on the left rear tire than the rest of the tires?

I had it checked out, it's a fairly new tire, maybe 2k miles, no damage, but after a few temperature swings it's usually around 24psi when the other tires get down to around 30.

Might just be an oddity, but curious if any of you smart folks had any theories.

Thanks!

Have that tire bead cleaned and re-mount - something is causing a slow leak.

Sun on one side of the car can make a difference but that will show up on both front and rear on that side, not just the rear. I agree...slow leak on that tire.

Also check for a cracked rim. I had that happen a couple years ago, and it would only slow leak if parked in a certain position of the rim. I chased it for about a month

Check also the valve stem core for a slow leak.
Jack up the air pressure and put a soapy solution in a spray bottle and wet down the bead area; any tiny bubbles are no good. You can do this while the tire's on the car or take it off, that way you can check the inside bead also.

If the guy who mounted your tire had a needle dick, you could have very tiny pin holes all over the tire.

Need to get the dealer involved in finding the leak if you can't find it.

My 012 Coupe is on the 2nd set of tires and I've had an extremely slow leak in the Right Rear tire, about 1 pound a week. So slow that 3 trips to the dealer and they've minimized the leak that started out to be about 3-4 pounds a week, but can't find that last slow leak.

Are these readings from your DIC? If so, you may have a problem with the TPS on that wheel. Double check the tire pressure with a manual gauge.

I'd make sure that you don't have a crack in the rim.

Did you verify that it is the left rear and not just the reading on the TPMS?

I say this because mine was programed wrong from the factory. The "Front L&R" is really the Drivers side and the "rear L&R" was the passenger side.

I find it odd I have more tire pressure in that tire... I set them identically the other day but I guess the sensor calibration is off on that 1 sensor.

I have this on my C5. New tires and TPMS. Has just always done it. All is fine until there is a change in temp.
I'm having the problem in my C6 but I think that one is the TPMS.
