My seat back is broken where the back attaches to the base... the composite is cracked clean through on the outside/driver's side (snapped at the metal bracket).

Will a Z06 seat back fit on a stock C6 base without any modification/funny business?

Just want to know whether I can expand my search to a Z06 back in addition to the stock C6 back. Also looking at complete seat(s), but the seats in the car are in pretty good shape otherwise... since that's the case, I'd just assume find a good used back rather than spend the extra few hundred on a complete seat.

I know this is a weird one, but if anyone has any thoughts, I'm all ears.

as far as I know, a C6 seat is a C6 seat... There have been some changes over the years, but other than emblems on the headrest, I do not believe there is any diff between a base and Z seat... someone tell me if I'm wrong.

Only difference could be the seat back could have airbags and/or the adjustable bolster air bladders, but you can have that in any C6 seat zo6 or base.

12-13 seats have totally different foam and leather covers, and 2011 seats are slightly different foam/leather also, again all models.
