Has anyone wrapped their wheels? I would love to see some pics. Thanks

I would think that the heat from the brake calipers would melt it or at the very least distort it over time.

Can't say that I've seen that before.

Plastidip. I have done it on several cars and it looks great. If you want to change colors, just do a base coat (or two) in dip, then paint the primary color over it.

Look up autoflex and see if there is someone by you that does it. They can paint it any color you want and it's taken care of exactly like paint is. It peels off like vinyl. Vinyl is a pain in th *** to wrap on wheels look up a video of it being done.

Lots of people wrap wheels in several different colors and have no issues with heat. I was going to wrap mine but I just went with powdercoat a few days ago since I wanted it to be permanent.

Don't believe the hype of thewrap companies.
They say it lasts five years.
I say it only looks good for a year then it starts to crack and split.
My top is looking terrible after a year and when it is not being driven, it is in my garage or in a parking deck. It doesn't get that much direct sunlight. Most of the time I drive in the dark to make time.

If you lay down a good basecoat of dip then you can apply the color right over the top of it. You just have to be sure the dip is fully cured (I waited a day between dip and color), then have at it.
Not really the best pic, but that is how I did the wheels on my SS.

Also, have you tried peeling dip that has been painted? I read that it becomes very flaky & hard to peel off after that.

What color dip did you use? Did you then spray black paint? I'm confused, they make black dip. Why not just dip them black & be done? You made more work for yourself.

I did not remove the dip from those wheels, but I did take it off my brothers car. Probably 60% peeled off, the rest I took off with a pressure washer. Worst case, just use that to take all of it off.

I guess that no one has any wrapped wheels!
