I did the same last week. I sold my c6 Z06 and upgrade to C7 Z06 .
Got it at Macmulkin Chevy in New Hamshire, Mark was great he got me the GM conquest rebate on the last day for that rebate, literally 15 minutes before closing. I still like the looks of the C6, however, the feel of the C7Z is quite better than the C6Z.
Macmulkin Chevy have some of the best prices around.

Yeah, but it's still fun driving a new one.

WHY would you trade in for a car that you're "not a fan of"??? I'm stumped.

Same reason that he drives a GS that he "doesn't mind"...

As I mentioned, the C7 rear end is nothing to favor. But, if I have a chance to get the car at a price I want, why not take advantage? I really like the Laguna Blue and can live with the vert. It still comes down to getting something I want for my price. If not, I have no problem with enjoying my GS.

It seems to me this is how people shop for minivans and microwave ovens. Shouldn't a sports car be something you really want and are excited about?

Really like the Laguna blue. Someone said you only go around once.
I have to ask . . .

Why does your wife have to drive your Corvette? You couldn't get her a different car to drive rather than get rid of your MN6? It doesn't sound like you're hurting for cash if you want to dump a C6 for a C7, just because.

If we are on a trip and something happens health wise or you get tired of driving or for what ever reason, she can't drive the car. What do you do then?
Someone suggested I wait a couple of weeks to see if the C7 idea is for real. I think that is what I will do. There are a lot of C7 verts hitting the market now and I can wait.

My wife knows how to drive a manual transmission. If she didn't I would have bought an automatic GS. What's the point of having a Corvette we both cant enjoy ? Its not my Corvette, its ours. Married 32 years.

First of all, make your own decisions in life.
Second of all, if you can't, don't ask C6 guys, what do they know? Ask C7 guys who have done what you want to do........
