2007 Z06 flood car
Hi - I'm looking at a Z06 flood car. Does anyone know if any built in relays or cutoff mechanisms were architected/emgineered into the C6 Corvettes ? Or does anyone have any experience in that arena ?

The C6 Corvette is loaded with electrics. Many of which are located low in the passenger cabin. Corvettes as Flood cars are tough to evaluate because they sit so low relative to sedans and SUVs.
There are many things to consider with Flood vehicles. Fresh or Salt water? How high did the water get? Any ingested into air cleaner box or engine?

Run far, run fast. A Z06 is no 60s musclecar with maybe 10 circuts total, a new Vette is a rolling computer.

Too many variables to ever be a reliable street car......
HST, they've been known to be made into track cars with a lot of potential?

It would have to be a HUGE deal. The Vette is loaded with electronics, relays, modules etc etc. If blue book is 40 and you get it for less than 20...maybe.

That car is a perfect candidate to yank out the drivetrain (disassemble and part it out), yank out all the electronics, interior, dash, instrumentation. Throw in a full cage. Tub the rear end, and put in a monster, blown big block, solid axle, stout tranny, and have a 1/4 mile drag car.
Or walk away.
JMHO.

Is there a detailed inventory of what was done to make this thing "right?"
Reason I ask is I once met a guy told me that a couple times he bought a recent model Vette at salvage, and literally replaced all the electronics. He drove each of them extensively with zero problems.
Assuming I got the story right, seems to me a cheap way to get a nice Vette by doing this yourself (if you have the skills and knowledge), or by buying one, properly fixed, when the "fixer" tires of it.
Would need to really do your homework; not for the faint of heart!

Wow...I bought a (previously) submerged Freightliner years ago. I cannot begin to describe the problems with that truck. And that was before electronics.

Okay, you have asked. Go for it, spend the money and buy this dream car. Understand that you must have deep pockets and a penchant for abuse as you will spend more time chasing gremlins than actually driving.
But what the heck, there are almost no vettes that are for sale...so do it. You will regret it daily which is what true corvette ownership is all about.

To quote Forrest Gump "Mama always said stupid is as stupid does".
If all you know about it is that it's a flood car...........that's enough to make you look elsewhere.
