Guys (typically) like the Vettes of their youth, it seems. Of course there's exceptions.
I imagine there's young kids that see the C7 right now and will lust after them the same way we did with the earlier generations.
Every show that we take our C6 '427' to, along with our C7Z51, produces the same interesting results. By a large margin, even though both get compliments, the new C7 gets the most rave reviews…and yes, including the rear design that many forum members like to bash for personal reasons. And among younger folks (mid 40's and younger) it's almost unanimous in favor of the C7 design!
I must say, I like the C7, but the C6 is the one that got me seriously thinking about buying a Corvette. So it was no surprise that a C6 is the one I got.
The 63 I had 30 years ago will always be my favorite for raw power and looks too. Having said that, I wouldn't trade my 2011 C6 for anything. It's like getting in a new car every morning.
I voted for the C2. First off it was my first Corvette, a 1966 BB 427/425 roadster and also because IMO I thing they are the best looking designs ever.
Now would I trade my current C6 for another C2 just like my first, most likely not. If I did not use the C6 as a driver that migth be a different story, but right now I happen to like to modern conveniences and I also like the looks.
My 66 427/425 was a coupe. I have more fun driving my C6 than I did in my C2, but it was beautiful to look at.
And the '58 C1.
