This has turned into a blanket dealership bashing thread...

I am very pleased with the service and parts departments at my local Jackie Jones Chevrolet in Murphy, NC.
I do the work on my cars. They never have a warranty when I buy them.
All of my wife's car have had a warranty. They always take care of us when we go in.
Maybe I am lucky... But I am sure there are more honest dealerships than shady dealerships.

Most parts changers don't know what they are looking at and all salesmen suck.
The only good part of a dealership is that they have New Cars.

I had a similar experience with a local dealership had a check engine light for a charcoal canister solenoid went to the dealer as soon as I got off the car they were putting a gage on my tires, whenI told the service guy what I was there for he kind of had sad look on his face
Anyways I was under the impression that pollution stuff was warranted for 8/80,000 well turned out its not even though you read the owners manual ant that's what it says
The part cost 27 dollars but the wanted $325.00 for the job, not wonder they have such a reputation

I won't bore you with particulars. I could write a best seller on the problems just I have had at dealers going all the way back to my first Vett in 1978. Nothing has changed or will change. Even under warranty they have a way F---- it up.
