Default After Market Nav Systems

If I install an after marker nav system or one from Double D Mods will the turn by turn still show up in the HUD?

Try the Waze App. It can alert you to current police, hazards and traffic. Free too. No ads.

No need to ever buy a nav again.

If you want the best of both worlds and want your car to look as stock as possible, stick w the factory nav and install the aftermarket accessory that mirrors your smartphone's screen on the nav screen.

Really tempted by this, myself...

Vara411, do you know the name of the product. It's hard to see screen when top is down but love that is shows in the HUD so won't change the nav if it does not show in HUD. Other option is buy a portable on and use both when travelling cross country to get a more up to date program.

I don't even use the Nav in either the Vette or the wife's SUV. We use the Google Maps app and it is great. Just got back from a week in NC and on the way home it alerted us to an issue on I-26. We re-routed to some back roads and only lost a few minutes and the drive was great compared to the interstate. We had no real idea where we were going in NC yet every time we selected a place to go, the Nav. took us right there.

Here's the thread on it... it's still in development for the C6 but you can see videos on YouTube with it working in other cars. I'm thinking I'll bite on it (I'm with you on the HUD directions), but I'd like to see a video of it working in the C6 first.
