Hey guys/gals,

My passenger side window goes up and down about 1/4" repeatedly when I start the car. It stops once I hit the lock button or put the transmission in drive.

I called the dealer and they had me try a "window reset" where you run the window down, holding the button for an extra 10 seconds and then run the window up, again holding the button for an extra 10 seconds.....but it didn't work. He wasn't sure if you hold the button for 5 or 10 seconds so I tried both.

Does anyone know how to correctly perform the "window reset" on a 2009 C6 Convertible? or maybe there's a different problem?

When the window bounces up and down over and over like that it's usually a sign of a dirty outside door pad. Very easy to clean.

You can/may also have to just replace it. They are a pretty cheap part.

My dads c6 had the cord in the window motor fringe up and go bad. We had to replace the assembly and it wasn't to bad. A guy on ebay rebuilds them somewhat cheap I think
