When I first joined the forum, post counts were display under your avatar then was moved to your profile.

Get rid of the thanks button and who thanked who because people will whine when they didn't get thanked when they gave the same answer as someone who did get thanked and post after them.

Then give me a STFU button or your a Dumbass button and section that says "The Following 10 users say STFU" or the "the following 10 users think your a dumbass".

The forum has gone down hill ever since Troy sold the forum!

Yeah, me too. Kinda like reading every EULA, or contract that you have to sign just to get a new phone. Too much (useless) info floating around.

I noticed the thank feature as well. I've seen it on some other forums that I'm on.

I guess that's a hint to look up there when something about the forum is changed.

Well not really. Reading ahead of time about a "Thanks" option wouldn't make any difference to me.

If they felt the need to add features I would rather have seen something like a button to rate the usefulness of the post and incorporate that into the search function. That way you could search for tech info and sort the results by real or perceived usefulness. I imagine there are a lot of possibilities for new features that would have more merit than clicks for cliques.

Isn't a REAL thank-you in a reply better than hitting a stupid button?

there should be some kind of reward/price/acknowledgement to the member with most "thanks" given

YES! This has always been my thinking with the "Like" on other forums.

It would mean more because it takes more effort to create a "Thanks . . . " etc. post than to simply click a button.
