Default Blank Nav, no sound

My 2007 Nav w/Bose now has a blank nav screen and no sound for anything. No request for a command, nothing from Onstar. If I push on the blank screen in positions I know should be active, I will see results in the HUD. If I move it to the "CD" position, it will even advance at the end of a song. That tells me it's working except for putting out the sound and display. Both fuses are good. I am ready to spring for a Kenwood DNX572BH but the local Chev dealer thinks it could possibly be the Bose amp. I don't know why that should affect the Nav display but I guess anything is possible. Any thoughts??

Try rebooting the system. You could pull the fuses or just disconnect the battery; you never know.

That's the cheapest thing to try first. Good luck.

I would pull the fuse, reinstall and let it reboot. I had to do that when I had the PAL II. I installed a Kenwood a couple years ago and never looked back.

I pulled the RDO fuse and #31 AMP, individually and also at the same time. When that didn't work I disconnected the battery, cleaned the terminals, waited about 1/2 hour and put it back together...no help.
