I had a similar experience with Cultrag. I want to support a forum vendor but not pay an additional premium for the privilege.

Here in south Florida, this isn't much of an issue. Roads are in very good condition.
Pot holes are extremely rare, and everything is flat.
I just find it outrageous that the splitter is priced so high.
It's nothing more than a molded piece of plastic. A fair price would be around $49.00. Nothing but a rip off!
No doubt that GM definitely implemented the Corvette tax on this part!

Like I said in another thread about dealers deserving their "rep", our local quoted me $370 then offered a discount down to $290 then said don't blame you for shopping around ??? With Hammy on this one, WAY OVER PRICED WEAR ITEM, but they got us by the short hairs don't they Mine is just fine

Thanks Jonathan. I guess mine is just rusted pretty bad. I took the weight off the spring with a spring compression tool and used an impact 6 point socket and it still wont budge. Ive had it soaking in rust buster . Ill see after breakfast if it will move. Thanks again.

Are you sure you're working on a Corvette? I don't see how a spring compression tool would work on our leaf type springs?

On a newer model corvette You have to lift the spring to adjust the ride height. If You try to adjust it without lifting the spring off the lower control arm You stand a chance of tearing the rubber seat of the adjuster. The one I am using is a kent moore brand tool.

They want to charge me $113.32 for shipping! Outrageous.
