Explanation of Throttle Response
Throttle response is how fast it takes from the time you mash the accelerator pedal to the time the engine RPM rises and how fast it rises. Throttle response is all about the time delay in the control system which alters the air pressure in the inlet manifold. It's only the time delay between moving the driver's right foot and changing the amount of air available at the inlets.
A more responsive 400hp engine will outrun (other than top speed) a less responsive yet more powerful 450hp engine on the track assuming driver skills and vehicle suspension tire adhesion... being equal in the same car every time.
When you open the throttle it responds by sucking in more air and adding more fuel. The power increase is caused because your RPM's rise. The faster your RPM's rise the faster your car can reach max power.
Cold air intakes / ported throttle bodies / ported intakes .... will all give some additional maximum power but a Throttle Controller's biggest benefit is allowing the engine RPM to rise faster which translates to reaching maximum power sooner which means the car will be accelerating faster.
How the Throttle Controller will affect your driving:
1- Daily Driving or at the Race Track:
All newer Corvettes are equipped with a drive-by-wire system and the throttle response is affected badly by this and as most of us feel a noticeable delay when quickly changing the position of the gas pedal. ( You will understand and feel this delay after you install your new Controller ). The Throttle response delay / Lag is an intentional design on the "Drive by Wire system and the reasons are:
• Decreasing emissions
• Safety and drivability.
• Comfort.
• Fuel economy
Driving Pleasure:
Throttle response plays a major role in driving pleasure, as this gives the driver more control over the vehicle's acceleration or deceleration. If you have a very precise throttle response, it will not only make your driving maneuvers a lot more predictable but makes you feel more comfortable pushing the car's limits on corners.
On a race track, while entering a corner, the requested power output is reduced since the vehicle is coasting or braking. After passing the corner, the driver will suddenly request more power to accelerate back to normal speeds. Fast throttle response allows a vehicle to regain its speed quickly after cornering.
Drifting requires very precise and instant throttle response on a rear-wheel drive car, one wants to increase torque on the rear wheels at a precise moment in a corner to make it turn the car more in the direction of the road ahead past the corner, and make it stop at a precise moment or the car will spin out of control. No matter what the maximum engine power is, if the throttle response is slow, you will not be able to have control or do this maneuver.

I've had this product for several months and love it. I didn't want to have to visit a tuner and have something wired/programmed in that I had no control over or couldn't remove at will. I looked at the SprintBooster but at $300+ with limited settings I said no thanks. Then I stumbled upon this unit on a Camaro forum.(don't ask me why I was on there, I don't even have a Camaro) After some research and several quickly answered emails to Ahmed, I placed my order and have been satisfied ever since. Although I have not personally used the other 2 "boosters" on the market, just based on the reviews and how they function, I'd have to put Vitesse as the better option. JMO
Now I'm just waiting for Ahmed to figure out the GM trucks so I can get one for my TBSS!

Interesting product. OP, I have both a '13 427 vert and a 2015 C7. Please verify - it appears the same Vitesse unit can be used in both cars interchangeably.
Also, does this impact in any way the operation of either car's factory launch control feature? Thank you.

I'm glad to see Vitesse became a supporting vendor!
There was another thread running (since locked) that convinced me to buy one. Install time is minimal, depending on your acrobatic ability to get to the gas pedal harness, but once in, there was an immediate SOTP feel.
Definitely a happy owner and would recommend to any C6 owner.

As posted in the other Vitesse thread which has now been reopened, this is a pretty amazing unit. You can dial in throttle response to get the feel that you want. I have a custom tune by Lew so that is my SP0. I finally decided on SP6 for the way I want my car to drive. It's pretty neat that once you have found your SP setting, you can press the A button and the B button and alternate between the two setting without having to step your way through either one. I have made my A button SP0 and my B button SP6. Don't know how much this feature will be used, but nice to know that it is available.
I had a hard time accessing the pedal connector initially. Finally I decided to remove the two chistmas tree pins closest to the console and bend the insulation panel out of the way to gain access. After that, it is a pretty simple install. Make sure to slide that gray part of the connector up so that you can unlock it.

The C6 uses the 19A Harness and the C7 uses the 18A harness.
These are OEM Harnesses so it's a very simple plug and play.
The Controller will not impact the Factory launch control feature.

Another positive testimony for this product.
Because of the configuration and minimal size of the control module (about the size of a small match box), there are a lot of mounting options. Several of us have mounted in the ash tray for easy access and clean look.
The on-the-fly adjustability of this unit is it's best selling feature compared to other options, IMO. I generally run in SP 3 around town, bump it up to SP 5 or 6 on the highway, and in traffic switch to ECO 0 or 1 to lessen the throttle sensitivity for easier stop-and-go transitions.
Here are some pics of my install in the ash tray. I worked on this with the console out because I wanted to put it in the space where the lighter is and removed the plug for a nice flat mounting surface. You can also mount it on the ash tray side and don't necessarily have to take the console out. With the door closed, you wouldn't know it is there other than improved throttle response.
