Window adjustment
The passenger window of my 07 Z sticks and will not go down if the door is closed and if it does it makes an awful noise like it is binding against something. Moves ok if you open the door. Tried re-indexing but that didn't change anything. Is there an adjustment inside that I can look at?
TIA

Have you tried some dielectric grease on the weatherstripping? Just a thought. Never been into a C6 window but the C4 had a nylon belt that would wear out. Had to replace them on my 85.

The windows have an adjustment that slides the glass forward and back to align with the pillar and door opening.
My 09 was binding when it was close to being closed but you could see the glass was too far forward and binding on the a pillar.
You have to take the door panel off to get to the adjustments but the glass alignment sure seems like it could be your issue.
No idea how these get out of whack as mine was fine for years and then started binding.
Hope this helps.

Not to hijack but does anyone have the procedure with photos perhaps? I have a '10 GS vert that has some wind noise towards the rear of the drivers window and am wondering if this could have something to do with it.
Thanks...James

Well, it's is a little late to respond to this thread. I have personally repaired many GM windows that have "broken". What has happened is the cable swedge comes out of it's retainer and gets knotted up around the teflon drum that is driven by the motor. That aside, The whole assembly does not need to be replaced. The glass is pretty much positioned in one place...you can't "adjust" it. My Toyota had the same problem recently with noise going down but it's quiet going up. What needed to be done is thoroughly lube the center rail of the assembly. The binding and noise I had was related to the lack of grease for the teflon block sliding in the metal containment rail. grease it up and I think you'll be good to go.

Dial in the right fit using the four adjustment bolts on the door. These are the same bolts that hold the regulator assembly in place (minus the three that secure the motor). Remember that one is located on the underside of the doorframe.
See the following article from Vette Magazine with pics. It's for a C5, but the regulators and adjustments use the same techniques.
