Default 2005 Corvette Grand Sport price

Hello fellas,

I'm a current C3 owner thinking about purchasing a 2005 Grand Sport Coupe with 50K miles on it. Seller is asking $29K. Vette is overall in good condition. Is this is fair price?

Thanks all.

I don't believe the GS showed up in the C6 line until 2010.

Maybe a wide body conversion? Asking too much regardless/

WOW... I was little baffled since it looked like a Z06 so I asked him and he said it was a Grand Sport...

It does have the widebody front/rear fenders and GS gills on the side. Tough to tell from pics, but in person it may be a very nice car, and the widebody conversion done correctly.

Not worth close to $29k, though.

You should be looking at 08+ in that price range, much improved over 05-07 plus the LS3/

To the sellers credit, it's no longer posted as a GS. It's correctly identified as a Custom Wide-body C6 Corvette.

Since the guy is lying about having an 05 GS there is no telling what else this clown is lying about. Run like heck! An 05 with low miles and great condition being a coupe should be around 23-26k Never buy a kit car or a chopped up car, no telling what else needs to be adjusted when all those new panels are introduced. A base C6 suspension etc was created for the base body.

Didn't know about the GS thing, but $29K seemed high instantly for me.

I got my 2012 base for only a few grand more than that!

Nothing wrong with a wide body conversion if done properly. But he is asking too much. You can't recover the 7 to 8 for the conversion.

Price is a little high but it looks good and between the wide body kit, wheels, and exhaust the owner has several thousand in mods. I wouldn't simply trash the car because it is on Craigslist or because owner called it a GS, OP if you are interested take a look.

In one of the pics, it looks like he has lower profile tires on the rear. Looks kind of weird.

He did a good job though.
