Yes painting is more $$$. But I had vinyl stripes on before and they only lasted 1 year before I had to replace. Kept getting little rock chips even on the roof, so I decided to try paint. Even paint gets small rock chips.

Another white car with the white top wrapped. As wayback said, wrapping the white top will do nothing but make it look "cooler".

Actual temperature will not change.

I can"t see where the dirt/particles would collect, there are no seams in my "wrap", any problems with your "wrap"?

No seams or problems with mine. I have both tops (was white until the wrap and the transparent top). I went with a gloss black vinyl because of this and it matches the transparent top nicely.

I've seen others with flat black or carbon fiber vinyl which looks good if you don't have the transparent top or don't plan on ever getting it.

You should not have any seams if you buy the 3M 1080 Film at least 72 inches wide. I bought a piece on eBay for $75 at 60x84". It gave us plenty of extra material for the halo wrap. Front of the halo wraps very easy as the rubber pulls away easily with the top off. The rear edge was a bit trickier as the rubber seal is glued to the halo. Go slow, and be careful. Took about 3 hours to complete. Looks awesome.

Unfortunately that is not my bike. Belongs to my son's friend. He wanted pics of the bike with my car.

I have let him drive my car so he let's me drive his bike. Great bike! Alot more powerful than the HDs I have owned.

Be safe, Torchsport hit a deer last Friday night. He ain't feeling so good now.

I suggest having them painted with a 50/50 mix of black and clear. Then clear coat them. They will still show correct color and reflect correct color this way.

One could always try the spray plastic dip stuff on the wheels.

Easy to remove if not happy.

I just bought the wrap on eBay. Those of you who have done this: can I do it without removing the weatherstripping?

I'm a bit partial to the red and black theme

I second black wheels!!!

That will complete the look. Can't do a theme with black accents and not do the wheels black, it looks funny.

Yes. I had someone do mine but stood there and watched. You don't take the weather stripping off, you lightly pull it away from the top and tuck the vinyl under it.

Question, what type of a shop would you go to for having a halo wrapped?

petsur....Usually any sign shop now does wraps. Look in the Yellow Pages under Vehicle Wrap. Be sure to find a shop with experience. The front edge of the halo wraps very easy as the rubber pulls away with the top off. HOWEVER.....the back edge is a little tricky as the weather strip is actually glued to the halo. Hiding the back wrap edge while not cutting the rubber stripping takes patience and a gentle hand.
